Language Lab Installation at Synod Higher Secondary School, Aizawl

Synod Higher Secondary School, Aizawl turns into technology-aided language learning. iTell language laboratory has been set up as part of the new vision of imparting advanced language training and communication classes to students.

The standard version (S1) of iTell was purchased by the school authorities. The language lab installation and software training was carried out by Mr. Abhinav, Technical Support Executive at Oréll.

iTell standard version is helpful to enhance Listening, speaking, reading & writing (LSRW) abilities of students through the listen-in, respond & record options. Teachers can monitor students’ learning and can evaluate their progress. Real-time lesson editing, assigning lessons to students in batches/classes/sessions/students, audio recording, text creator etc are the major features of the teacher consoles. Students can learn any language using this advanced tool. They can self-evaluate the repeated passage after comparing with the original, listen and write, submit the files to the instructor console for evaluation, call instructor and refer dictionary to name a few.

Synod Higher Secondary School, Aizawl is a higher secondary school run by Mizoram Synod of Presbyterian Church of India at Aizawl in the Mizoram State of India. It is rated as one of the top schools in the entire state. The school was started and officially opened on March 8, 1962 by Shri B.C Roy, the then Deputy Commissioner of Mizo district.
