Oréll Digital Language Lab at A.M.L.P.S, Puthanathani

A.M.L.P.S, Puthanathani, one of the aided schools located in the Tirur educational district of Malappuram has been selected for the implementation of Oréll Digital Language as part of the ‘Complete Education Project’ initiated by the honourable MLA of Tirur legislative Assembly Mr C. Mammootty in co-operation with Keltron-India's first and the largest State electronics enterprise.

Oréll language lab was selected to help the students of Puthanathani AMLPS to enhance their communication skill and aptitude in English language. During the on-site visit as part of the installation process, technical executive form Oréll gave training to the teachers of the school to make the best possible usage of language lab in communication sessions. The language teachers of the school are very hopeful that the digital language lab will be supportive for them to make the teaching sessions more lively and interesting for the students. Besides, they seemed very excited to use the multimedia contents in language classes for catching student’s attention to pronunciation of words, modulation and the variations in the articulation of English words with same sounds.

The complimentary study materials provided will be beneficial for the teachers to get a precise idea about the preparation of language learning materials and can be used to assign different types of exercises to the students. Also the teacher can conduct remedial classes using the digital language lab to create a positive atmosphere for students suffering from low confidence, as they encourage students to learn language in a more private space, rather than feeling pressured to study language immediately. In short, students will become confident enough to speak in English without the fear of committing errors.

A.M.L.P.S Puthanathani, established in 1968 is situated at Kurumbathur village of Kuttippuram block in Malappuram district of Kerala. This co-educational school is approved for primary classes and runs under private aided management.
